The RoShi ELF FUZZ is a meticulous recreation of the legendary ELK Triangle Big Muff Sustainer, a Japanese made variant produced by Hoshino Gakki ELK Inc. in the late ’60s and early ’70s. Revered for its distinctive take on the classic Triangle Muff circuit, the ELK version offered a slightly grittier, more aggressive voice, a texture many fuzz collectors still hunt down today.

RoShi sourced and compared ten original ELK units, selected the best sounding example, and reverse engineered it down to the smallest nuance. Every component was measured, mapped and recreated to reflect how vintage parts aged over half a century, capturing the authentic response, mid-structure and sustain that made the original so unique.

Inside are extremely rare, vintage Japanese silk-hat transistors; the same style used in the originals, delivering that unmistakable woolly saturation, biting top-end and thick, blooming sustain that defined early Japanese fuzz culture.
