The Action & Action was designed in collaboration with The Get Up Kids, and is a U.K first here on Pedal Jungle.

It's dual drive pedal that fuses two Oneder favourites, the Old Blue Overdrive and Red Ryder Distortion, into one perfectly voiced unit; based on what the band have been using for the last few years. Built to mark the 25th anniversary of Something To Write Home About, this signature pedal captures the exact tones Rob and Jim have been using live on both guitar and bass.

The right side of the pedal features the Old Blue Overdrive, a transparent low-to-mid gain drive that serves as the band’s always on base tone. It adds weight, grit, and articulation while retaining clarity across instruments.

The left side brings the Red Ryder Distortion, a ratty, hard-clipping circuit with a clean blend control, ideal for driving leads, adding edge, or smashing through the mix with fuzzy, aggressive tone. On bass, the blend knob becomes a secret weapon, keeping the low end tight and present.

You can use either side on its own, or stack them together for layered tones. Since Old Blue always comes first in the circuit, it works beautifully as a base tone or pre drive enhancer, adding warmth and articulation before hitting the Red Ryder for heavier distortion or a more simple lead boost.

This is a true 2-in-1 drive pedal built for real world use.  Whether you're playing emo, punk, indie rock, or anything that needs punchy mids and tight, cutting drive tones.
