The Octafuzz from Mustard FX is a uniquely reworked take on the legendary Tychobrahe Octavia, built in the U.K using genuine 1960s/70s vintage components and designed to deliver raw, expressive fuzz with authentic vintage character. Only two units of this special edition exist, making it not just a powerful fuzz tool, but a true collector’s piece.

At its core, this is a modified version of the classic Roger Mayer style Octavia circuit famously used by Hendrix, but with several key changes. Notably, this version includes a rare “Octave Lift” switch, a mod derived from historical tweaks to the Tychobrahe Octavia, which gives the pedal a more open, Fuzz Face-like response when activated. It’s this switch that lets you go from screaming octave fuzz leads to gnarlier, less compressed fuzz textures with the flick of a toggle.

A vintage LT44 transformer gives the Octafuzz a slightly darker, smoother tone compared to a standard Octavia, and internally, the circuit features value changes and a stripped back component set to favour dynamics and vintage feel, letting your guitar's character shine through.
