The Mustard FX Frankenbender Mk1 Germanium Fuzz is not just another boutique fuzz, it’s a rare, one-off build with serious pedigree. Originally crafted as a special project for another pedal builder, this Frankenbender carries the spirit of collaboration and experimentation at its core.

Housed in a repurposed Octavia enclosure, this tight-fit build squeezes a full Tone Bender Mk1 circuit into a compact footprint. It's Sola tuned with a load of extra gain.

The circuit features Hunts/Phillips capacitors, a trio of carefully selected Mullard germanium transistors OC81, OC7B and OC78, salvaged from vintage radios along with the Carbon comp Resistors, delivering a fuzz that’s crunchy, powerful, and loaded with vintage character.

Because of its size, a voltage inverter couldn’t make the cut, so this pedal sticks to classic battery operation, keeping it as old school as the tones it produces. With its rare backstory, compact design, and authentic Mk1 voicing, this Frankenbender isn’t just a fuzz pedal, it’s a piece of fuzz folklore.

This is a 'used' pedal, in our Grade 3 good condition, with a few enclosure scuffs and chips, and doesn't come with the original box.
