The Story

The Benson Amps ȘTÖRKN B0kš is a deeply modified take on the original Stonk Box, developed in collaboration with none other than experimental guitar legend David Torn, the very artist who inspired the Stonk Box in the first place. This isn’t just a tweak. It’s a whole new circuit experience that pushes fuzz tone to its outer limits, packed with unique features that reward adventurous players and unconventional rigs.

At its core, the Storkn B0ks still honours the Tone Bender MK1 lineage, but now it’s sculpted for a much wider range of low frequency content, thanks to a variable bass control that shifts between the Zonk Machine’s more scooped low end and the thunderous fullness of a true MK1. The result is a fuzz pedal that delivers gated, gnarly, crushing tones with rich sub frequency bloom; especially suited for down-tuned guitars, ambient loops, and textural layering.

Where things really get weird; in the best way, is the addition of the positive feedback switch. Originally a misremembered concept from Benson’s lead tech Carson McWhirter, this switch unleashes chaotic oscillations, synth-like filter tones, and unpredictable glitchy textures. It's not for the faint hearted. When engaged, the Storkn B0ks becomes a sonic playground, demanding hands on interaction and encouraging boundary pushing experimentation.

To keep the vintage germanium heart of the pedal stable, Benson’s Automatic Thermal Bias circuit gently warms the transistors (2N404 or 2N527) to a consistent bias point, ensuring reliability in any environment. Expect the LED to shift between amber and green, that’s the heater doing its job, maintaining the sweet spot for tone even on wildly fluctuating stages or in freezing studios.

This is not a plug-and-play fuzz. It’s a living, reacting, thermally balanced fuzz monster made for sonic explorers. Whether you're crafting cinematic landscapes, harsh noise, or fuzzy riffs from another dimension, the Storkn B0ks offers a depth of tone and character that few pedals dare to reach.
