Because the original proved so popular, Custom Batch #001 returns as Custom Batch #004.

This rerun keeps everything that made the first drop special while introducing a subtle new look. The pedal retains the same black enclosure, but now features off-grey detailing instead of the original white, giving the design a slightly darker, more understated aesthetic while still staying true to the Custom Batch identity - plus the addition of a PJ branded battery cap cover on the inside.

Like the original release, Custom Batch #004 continues the refreshed enclosure design and exclusive finish that made the first run stand out. It’s a limited rerun of our first Custom Batch project, created for players who missed out the first time around.

Under the hood is AM Effects’ Germanium Treble Booster, a refined take on the legendary Rangemaster-style circuit. Built around hand-selected vintage germanium transistors, it captures the character and dynamic response of classic ’60s boost circuits while improving reliability and usability for modern rigs.

You still get the unmistakable magic of those vintage tones, but with thoughtful upgrades including improved power filtering for quieter operation, anti-pop switching, and a wider-range control that gives you greater precision over how hard the pedal drives the front of your amplifier.

Placed first in the signal chain, the booster reacts beautifully to your guitar’s volume control, cleaning up smoothly for articulate edge-of-breakup tones. Push it into an already driven amp and it delivers rich, harmonically complex overdrive that cuts through any mix.

All of this is housed in a rugged Gorva C65 enclosure with a durable powder-coated finish, built to handle the realities of live use while keeping the Custom Batch aesthetic intact.
